Shape and Form

Shape and Form
The task of taking photographs of shape (2D), But also form (3D)was the task we were given to experiment with this week, to improve our understanding of ways in which images look effective.

Artists Photographs - Form
This image of a pinecone shows form well, as you can clearly see the many 3D shapes within the actually pine cone itself.

This image is quite different to the one which i have featured above, due to reasons such as the colour and also the aperture. The form is shown by the mass of petals on the flower, and due to the low aperture (F/1.8) it is the centre of the image.

My Own Photographs - Form
For form i decided to also experiment with the angle which i was taking the photograph at. By lowering myself i was able to capture the underneath of the mushroom as well as the top. This also helps to create a 3D look to the image.

Artists Photographs - Shape

TJ Scott is a artist who bases his work solely on silhouettes, He also uses sunsets to create a more colourful background for his images.

This image has been taken by the same artist (TJ Scott), With his photography i love the way he tries to capture  people as 2D, and this is exactly what i have tried to do with my own images.
My Own Photographs - Shape
This image is inspired by TJ Scott's work as you can see, but i have made sure i took a different approach to the way in which i took the image,(A shadow). I have also used photoshop to edit the colour contrast and brightness, to make the image stand out more.
