Double Exposure

Double Exposure
This weeks challenge was to experiment with photoshop, and also using a double exposure when it comes to the camera.

Artists Photographs
The artist of this photograph is Christoffer Relander who is a Finland based self-taught photographer, especially known for his in-camera multiple exposures.

To create his photographs he uses a mix of photoshop, but he also uses the actual camera to create a number of pieces of his work. He uses two layers in his final images, which is shown in the images above.

My final Artist image has been photographed, and produced by the same artist whom i have mentioned above. For this image he has used a hand outline to frame the face featured inside. This also makes the image very abstract.

My Own Photographs
At first we took silhouettes of our subject. We needed to create an interesting shape toad interest to our images, and i did this through creating gaps/spaces with the body.

Then secondly we needed to take a colourful image which would be used to fill the outline, which had been previously taken. After this we would then merge both images in photoshop and have a "double exposure".

My final image - This is what i ended up with after the final stage had taken place. I ensured that the clothing was still slightly visible in the image, to add texture and also some depth.
